What information is needed to secure a business license?

If you are selling alcohol you will need to contact the Alcohol Beverage Control to obtain your ABC license before you complete your application.
What other permits or licenses are required?
Certain businesses in El Monte are required to have a business permit. If you have a retail business, you will need to submit a copy of your seller’s permit for the State Board of Equalization. Call (626) 480-7200 for more information regarding a seller’s permit. If you are manufacturing garments, you will need to have a copy of your Garment Manufacturing Certificate from the Labor Board.
