Looking to start a business in Downey, California?

How do I register my business?
You will need to pick up a registration application by visiting the Planning Division on the first floor of City Hall. There may be additional fees due when your inspection card is completed. After your application is turned in, it will be reviewed by city departments to review your location and application. You will be responsible for calling to request on-site inspections and to obtain signatures of approval. After the inspection card is completed and turned in to the cashier’s window, you will be issued a business license in approximately two weeks. Your application process will be completed upon receiving your Downey Business License Certificate.
