Be sure that you have your documentation and identification in order before you apply for your marriage license to avoid delays.  Documentation includes a driver’s license, military ID, state issued ID or passport for anyone over the age of 18.  Those under the age of 18 but older than 16 will need to have a parental consent form.  Any minor under the age of 16 will need to have proof that they are either expecting a child or are the parents of a child, and they will need to have a marriage license issued by a county judge.

Will I Be Required to Pay any Fees for a Marriage License in Clearwater, Florida?

Marriage license fees are $61.00 for those couples that have completed the marriage preparedness classes and $93.50 for those couples who have not.  If you choose to have your wedding ceremony preformed by the Deputy Clerk, you will need to pay an additional $30.00.  The payments can be made by cash, check, money order, credit card or traveler’s checks. 

What Information Will I Provide to Obtain a Marriage License?
