All persons who operate business in Pensacola will need to have been issued a business license from the City of Pensacola, called a business tax receipt (formerly known as an occupational license). How Long is My Pensacola Business License Valid?
Your business license is valid from October 1 through September 30 of the following year. If you apply for, and are issued, your business license between September 30 and April, you will be responsible for the entire amount for the first year, and each year thereafter for your business license. If you obtain your business license after April 1 but before June 30, you will be responsible for 50% of your total business license fees for the first year. If you are issued your business license after July 1 and before Sept 30, your license fees will be prorated to 25% of the total annual cost.
