What information is necessary on your Davie business tax receipt application?

You will need to provide information regarding your business location, your business activities, the ownership of your business (single owner, LLC, corporation, or partnership), and the business owner(s). Each owner or corporate officer will need to have all contact information submitted on the application. Depending on the ownership type and whether you plan to hire employees, you may need to contact the IRS for a federal employer’s tax ID number or you may need to supply your social security number if you are the only employee and/or owner.

You will also need to file an affidavit of inventory if your business activities include any retail or wholesale. This affidavit also outlines the fees that you will be responsible for paying depending on your inventory values. Lastly, there is a business update survey for the Davie Police Department. It collects the basic information about your business that each other form collects, but in addition, it will require that you submit the names and contact information of three persons who can be reached in the event of an emergency at your business location. 

The information needs to be accurate and detailed so that in the event that you are unreachable, this person may act on your behalf in an emergency. You will also need to disclose whether you have a security dog, alarm company information, whether you keep lights on at your business overnight, and if there is any hazardous material on your business premises. All of these supplemental forms will need to be returned along with your business tax receipt application when they are all completed with full and accurate information.
