What basic information will be needed for a Plano business license or permit?

The permits are all a little different, one to another, but the information that you will need generally will be:

  • Applicant Name
  • Applicant Address and Phone Number
  • Applicant Driver’s License and Date of Birth
  • Business/Property Owner/Sponsor Name
  • Business/Property Owner/ Sponsor Phone Number and Address
  • Business/Property Owner/ Sponsor Driver’s License Number and Date of Birth
  • Employee or Volunteer Information such as: License Number and Date of Birth and Names and Dates they will work

  • Insurance Information Must be Submitted with Application
  • Type of Food or Alcohol to be Served, if applicable

What about a Plano Food Vendor Permit?

For a Plano Food Vendor Permit, both mobile food vendors and permanent establishments alike are required to complete the permit application and accompanying food handler course. This Food Handler Class selected by the City of Plano can be found at http://planotx.foodhandlerclasses.com/.  The application is not online and you must contact the City of Plano to receive it, although it is not available online, you may still receive information from the city’s website http://www.planotx.org/Health/Pages/default.aspx. What should a solicitor or peddler do in Plano?

You will need to complete the Solicitor Application with the City of Plano Police Department. Many permit applications are not available online, yet this one is at http://www.plano.gov/Departments/Police/Publications%20and%20Forms/Pages/Solicitor.aspx. Additionally, the cost of many of the permits are not published online but this one is which is a base fee of $20.00, it takes approximately 10 days to process this application. Please ensure that the fee is submitted with the application to the city.
