If you operate a business within the city limits of Springfield a business license may be required. Springfield businesses are subjected to different licensing fees. Some types of business may require additional permits such as alarm systems, garage sales, special events, and Texas Holdem houses and sponsors.

Required Application Information
The following information is required to complete the Business License Application:
- Owner and business name and contact information
- Federal Tax ID number
- State of Oregon Registry number
- Manager and Employee information
Renewal Information
Springfield operates on a fiscal year schedule beginning July 1st and ending June 30th of the following year. All business license fees are subject to the full fee at the time of application and will not be pro-rated. Late fees will be charged if renewal fees have not been received by July 1st. A technology fee of 5% is issued to all business licenses.
