How do I aquire a business license in Idaho Falls?
Only certain businesses are required to obtain a business license in Idaho Falls. Once the application and fees have been submitted, the license is good until the end of the calendar year (December 31), unless you have either a kennel or massage business. The Police Chief of Idaho Falls personally authorizes all applications. For new or remodeled buildings, a Certificate of Occupancy is required.

In some cases, fingerprints are required on the application.
Can I apply online?
Not at this time. The application should be filled out and the fees ready to be paid when it is turned in at the City Clerk’s Office. In some cases, signatures will be required to be notarized. If necessary, notaries are available at the City Clerk’s Office. The office is located at 308 Constitution Way, Idaho Falls, Idaho 83405.
