In New York State, marriage licenses are issued by City and Town Clerk’s offices. You may go to any City Clerk’s office and apply for a marriage license that will be valid anywhere in the state. The Manhattan office is located at 141 Worth Street. The Bronx office is located in the Supreme Court Building at 851 Grand Concourse, Room B131. Office hours for all locations are 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., except for the Manhattan office, which closes at 3:45 p.m.
Can I submit my marriage license application online?
You may begin your marriage license application online at New York Marriage License. However, even if you submit a marriage license application online, you will still need to visit one of the locations of the City Clerk’s office to sign and pick up your marriage license. You and the person that you are marrying must appear at the City Clerk’s office together in person.
