The C of O needs to be filled out in person at the Building Division, 30111 Crown Valley Pkwy between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please note that you will have to have your zone clearance before requesting your C of O.

If you are planning to operate your Laguna Niguel business form your home, you will need to file an application for a Laguna Niguel Home Occupation Permit. This application can be obtained by visiting the Community Development Department. You can review it online at the City of Laguna Niguel website. It contains a list of restrictions and regulations that you will need to familiarize yourself with, and then agree to comply with in order to receive your home occupation permit. Some of the regulations include that your business is incidental to the use of your home, that you will not hire persons outside of your own home to work at your business, that you will not create external evidence of a business inside the dwelling, etc. There will be a one-time fee associated with your Laguna Niguel home occupation permit.
